FD640 Series for Folding & Inserting by FORMAX

The 640 Series offers three different models to suit particular needs and applications. The FD 642 is a modular two station model which incorporates all of the Seriesí advanced standard features. The FD 644 provides a higher level of flexibility with four standard feed stations. The ultimate level of flexibility is available with the FD 646 folder/inserter. This model includes three standard feeders and one special feed designed to handle glossy or heavier documents. All three models deliver high-end productivity while maintaining easy to use features such as AutoSet, drop-in feed systems and a sleek compact design.

Flexible
The 640 Series is available with either two or four feeders to meet your growing needs. A variety of documents up to 14", including checks, invoices, newsletters and replay envelopes can be inserted in almost any combination. The 640 Series has an optional special feeder that allows for the insertion of glossy documents as well. An optional conveyor can be added to maximize your operator productivity.

Powerful
The 640 Series processes at a rate of up to 3,300 pieces per hour and can handle up to 325 sheets in each feeder. Feeders can be refilled on the fly allowing for continuous operation.

The cascade mode maximized production by filling multiple feeders with the same documents. When one feeder empties another one automatically starts feeding. This feature allows for a total stacking capacity of 650 sheets. The enhanced folding system folds up to twice the amount of documents compared to the industry standard.

Security
The 640 Series double document detectors insure insertion integrity. Every document can be check twice for doubles - once at the feeder and again at the point of insertion. If double documents are detected they can be diverted for inspection without interrupting the flow of operation.

The optional OMR capability allows for the insertion of multiple page documents automatically. OMR determines which documents go together into each envelope, eliminating the tedious task of manually collating and inserting.

Ease of Operation
The AutoSet feature sets the new standard for ease-of-use. All settings such as paper length, fold length and double document detection are set automatically. Simply load the documents into the feed hoppers and go. The 640 Series also includes nine pre-set folds for reoccurring or frequently processed applications. The drop-in feed system and easy access paper paths increase efficiency and maximizes output.
